Integrating philosophy of science in civil engineering: an integrative course design strategy

چکیده

Abstract Many philosophers of science think scientific practice can benefit from philosophical concepts, and as such philosophy should play a direct role in engineering education. In this paper we consider highly integrative course design strategy for integrating specific disciplinary educational programmes through adaptation, operationalization embedding material to fit both the structure programme. The goal is help encourage students recognize value concepts decision making apply them their own practice. We use example 7.5 ECTS civil which implements at European technical university, elaborate these present some evidence on how receive course. discuss challenges limitations implementing kind teaching science.
